In the world of Harry Potter (yes, Harry Potter is a world, deal with it) we're all well aware that people will ship anything and everything under the sun. But there are some ships that just make us raise our eyebrows and wonder: How did that come about? So, here, for everybody to discuss: What are the strangest ships you've ever seen?
I have seen while browsing through fanfiction, two ships that have really made me raise my eyebrows. Harry/Seamus and Harry/Fred. I have nothing against gays and I am not surprised when I come across slash while browsing through fanfiction, but that made me gape at the screen, trying to comprehend how that turned in to a ship. So, start discussing the strange ships!

Well, I don't normally read Harry/Seamus or Harry/Fred, but there have been some fics which I have read where they have been ex's and such. Normally it's just Seamus hitting on Harry which leads to Harry flirting back and they get together for a while, just because they were already friends; these ones were normally written before the Order of the Phoenix, but there are still some out there despite Seamus' behaviour during the beginning of the book. Harry/Fred on the other hand from what I have seen is just a fling, and again they end up being friends after (Harry/Draco wouldn't work if it weren't for them breaking up I suppose. haha.), but often it's something to do with when Harry is looking for something to cheer him up while in a depressed state. *Shrug*
Harry Potter is a world of its own, and then there is many thousands of other universes, each linked to a fanfic. lol.
Ohhh, something I found so amusing was watching Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, which had Lockhart as Dr Frankenstein and Bellatrix as his cousin/wife (read to understand that properly, they grew up together, aren't related, but call each other cousin until marriage... where she dies.). Every time they kissed, me and all the other Harry Potter fanatics in my class (which is alot) grimmaced and/or laughed. It was the funniest sight to see. But imagine that! Lockhart and Bellatrix. I want to see someone write one of those. haha.

haha, would be rather amusing indeed.
One pairing that has me rather stumped is Fred/George. I don't understand how anyone could actually want to read that, let alone write it. It's just wrong in so many ways.

Lol. I think that it was a side pairing for a fic I read once, but it was Fred, George and a Slytherin ... O.o odd.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the Fred/George ship either. Neither are James or Oliver Phelps! I guess word of Fred/George shippers got back to them and they took a picture of them holding up little signs that said "Twins Against Twincest". Bellatrix and Lockhart? I can imagine that now:
"Oh, Bella, you'd look so much brighter if you wore more PINK." "PINK?!" "Why yes, it'd look so lovely on you-" "Must. Resist. Urge. To. Kill. Lover."

Once my sister told me of a story where Harry was a girl and it was a harry/fred/george. They had some dicey scenes between the THREE of them which i thought was a bit off.
Haha...spoiler comp!

That's...really strange. I found a fic that was just plain silly that was kind of similar to that. Except Harry was turned in to a girl and it was a Harry/Draco fic. To give you an idea of the pure strangeness of this fic: Voldemort liked pina coladas, it was his evil plan to have Harry turned in to a girl, and Lucius and Snape were obviously gay as well. Oh, that's another strange ship: Snape/Lucius. Sheesh, I knew the Death Eaters were a tight-knit group and everything, but there are such things as limits.

I just can't stand random, silly fics. They're such a waste.
I've seen Snape/Hermione...icky!!!

Yes, Snape/Hermione: ick. Same with Snape/Harry, AKA Snarry, fics. Snape/any student is just plain wrong. He's old enough to be their dad! Gross. Who even comes up with these ships?

I know lots of people who ship Snape/Hermione. I never really found it that odd though, lol. I mean sure he is way older than her (which is a bit sick) but add 20 years to her age and it would be fine.

haha, I was reading a fic a few weeks back which has Hermione/Snape. It was quite good, but then again it was mainly Harry/Draco. *grins* But it was a really good set up for it, Hermione found him interesting because he saw passed the theory of the potions and could actually see the potions reactions and all that, and wanted to learn to do that and when they are forced to work together she has to go see him during the night for something but he is leaving at that point to go to a Death Eater meeting, and she follows him and ends up being sent with him when he tries to dissapperate, thus forcing them to act the couple, with her as his "toy". Quite funny. *grins*

Lol^^ I know a lot of people who would be squeeing their heads off at that. I really only do that for D/G though. I can be reading fic that is not D/G and if they even talk to each other I get excited, lol.
