i say killing... just because i have my own ways of manipulating people, imperius is just so simple...
same with the torture curse, slower and less brutal is better.
but i dont want some one's blood on me! it stains! and the effort of suffocating or strangling someone. psh who needs that.! hmmm i have done shakespeare waaay too much. blood made me think of Macbeth, while suffocating made me think of Othello. what's next, poison? (romeo and juliet) haha even that isnt enough for me, the cost of the ingredients, along with the effort of making it myself, or waiting for someone else to finish it, nah, quick simple, no fuss, no mess, its the killing curse for me.
O.o i put waay to much thought into this ey?
xoxo

Cruciatus because the Imperius curse can be fought off (Harry has proven this) and Avada Kedavra would be way too easy.

Mwahha, imperius is winning....
I can see why Avada only got two. Death just isn't that exciting to me. I mean, once you're dead that is it in this life, so it doesn't really do much. Prolonging suffering is so much better.

true, but there are much more satisfying ways of making someone suffer... like in Frankenstein (and I mean the Mary Shelley one, not every remake since).

Ah, I have read that book, very excellent and beautifully written that it is.
Death wasn't his punishment though. It was the emotional trauma that he faced. Death was almost like a release for that.

yeah that's my points, the monster tortures Dr Frankenstein by killing everyone he loved, even after all his family and friends were killed, Dr Frankenstein went after the monster in an attempt to get him back for all the horrors he had done, and may do in the future. By going after him, he goes through terrors himself, forcing himself on even as he was on the brink of death, torturing himself in a way by continuing his own life, but feeling the need to go after the monster.
in the end he does die, but that was like with many tortured victims, they have suffered too much, their bodies or their souls are too damaged and they die.
thus, the torture curse is not as great as the killing curse, as shown in the book, the characters going through such terrible times and rendering themselves practically the living dead, without causing actual physical harm or pain, as the unforgivable does.

I had to read that in one night, then write a 7-page essay on that book..... ><;;; I had to take three ADDerall for that! Yikes. No sleep that night. I was working on it from 3:30 pm when I got home until 6:30 am the next day, right before I got ready for school to turn it in. !!!
Anyway, as The Dark Lord, I condone the Unforgivables... all of them (as long as I get Potter and they're not used on me, the Lord and Master -smirks-). But I always like to use a nice little Cruciatus curse on the straying folowers from time to time (more like every meeting.....).

Imperius. While torture and AKs are nice, too, nothing beats getting someone else to do it and keeping your own hands clean.

I am so glad that so many people are choosing the Cruciatus curse -- it makes me proud.
broken2nite: The Fountain, the movie, correct? With Hugh Jackman...?

I just like hearing people scream. That is why I chose Cruciatus. While Imperius would be fun for everything you could make a person do, like torture themselves and the people they care about, it's just they don't realize what they are doing until the curse is off. With Cruciatus, well, they are fully aware that they are being tortured and that makes it better for me. Avada is just too final and quick. If I'm going to kill a person I would imagine it would involve sharp objects and massive amounts of blood and innards. There are spells to clean up the mess if you don't like stains.
((talk about embracing your inner psychotic mass muderer, jeez))

as long as you have someone to embrace, all is well. lol.
I still vote for killing curse... if i want to kill someone myself, i can... but when in a hurry, it is still the way to go. plus it takes less effort. I dont want to turn out like Lady Macbeth, blood on my hands that will never come off. Jeez, think of the water bill and all the wasted water, we are already in draught (although after those storms...)

I like Imperio, personally. When you think about it, it can be just as affective as Crucio and even more so than Avada Kedavra. For example: You can cause someone pain by making them slit their throat with a knife. And then, you can make them watch their own blood fall down their robes as they gasp for life. And, of course, this would prove to be a much more painful way of death than a simple little flash of green light, no?

I'd definitely have to say the Imperius Curse. Think about it this way. It can mimick the other two if you know what to make the person do. I won't get into gruesome detail here, but should you be on the ledge of a high place, or near a large fire or a deep lake, the Imperius Curse may be much more practical to a Dark Wizard than the other two. It could make it look like an accident, thus making it harder to track the user.

But then there are people like Harry who can throw the curse off, making it useless.
