ventrillo is a chat program with headsets, where you can actually talk to each other.

ill have to see about hosting a server, i think ventrillo costs money to do, but teamspeak i believe is free. We used to do it all the time for online multiplayer games so we could organize our teams without having to type all the time. I'll look the info up tomorrow when i wake up and as long as you have the program and the isp for the server anyone in the website can get on. You can also block people and have private password protected rooms so only certain people can get in. www.teamspeak.com/here is the website if you want to take a look

Whoa.. whoa. Getting a little too technical here. Just because I took Computer Studies for two years( a million years ago) doesn't mean I know anyhting about them.
Okay, what we need is something free.
Now explain, what sort of devices do we need in the real world (ie. headphones mics, attachments, etc.) to use this?
And, this is any way we can save the conversations?

Im going to have to talk to my husband about all of this. I've never tried to actually host a server before. He is the computer genius in the family. This is free as long as your website doesn't make money and headphones and mics is all you would need. You can record conversations and as long as you have speakers you can listen in and type in the chat while others are talking.

Alright, this sounds awesome.
No, this message board makes no money, well, at least, I make no money, and I'm pretty sure this is free, so...
Okay, so you talk to your man, I'll talk to the HS people, and see whose interested. I'm pretty stoked about this. Are you going to join in, Kaisei?

Okay, well my mic and headphones are broken, so I'm just going to get my mum to pick some up on the way home. So I'll need about a half an hour.
So I'm downloading this now, and i'll logon and all.
