I know how to write them and everything; my teacher just doesnt understand what i'm on about half the time... and i usually end up explaining then she gets it... she accepts my style of essay writing more now, but when someone else has to mark mine... they just get lost. It's set out right, it's straight to the point and very basically written, yet they don't get it.
*shrug* I really can't understand how they don't get it...

Lol, that's annoying. I hate when teachers try change my style. I had one teacher tell me I make things flow too good. She said my paragraphs were never clear-cut because they all flowed together so effortlessy.
I just don't understand how people can't follow it? I mean, surely having something flow nicely is better than disjointed paragraphs, but teachers prefer things to be basic and plain. I am not basic and plain, lol, so I totally know what you mean. Now I just do whatever and it seems to be working, because everytime I try change my style I end up getting dumb marks.

lol. aww
lately, i just stick on a plan. intro: thesis, text, techniques. paragraphs: topic sentence, technique, example, link back to thesis. conclusion: restate everything.
works in economics... yet my english ones just dont work... haha

Bah, that sounds confusing. Our method is so basic.
Intro: Thesis, state what your paragraphs will be about, and short summary of your point of view. Paragraphs (3 usually): Statement, example, explanation, critical evaluation. Conlcusion: Tie everything together and make final judgment.

that's basically what it is, we just use different wording/names for things.
nyeh. i've found that my essays have improved since i've made sure to mention the thesis as often as i can. :3

lol. My family hates it when I leave my stereo on.. it's in my room, and I always forget to turn it off, so when I go to school, it is still on... haha, probably my fault that the power bill is so high. :3 I'm remembering more often these days though, just because I can't seem to get to sleep with it on any more... *shrug*
But the worst thing is... when I get a new cd, it goes on, and doesn't get turned off, or taken out for about a month... then it usually returns to Sleight of Hand or The Living End. haha.
