These are all the names mentioned from Deathly Hallows, at least, plus a few that are mentioned otherwise. There are a few unmasked and unknown (and perhaps unimportant) ones, as stated in the book itself.
Of the 17 that are listed, who is your favorite?

Even if he is a traitor, Snape is still my favorite.

As far as interesting Death Eaters, examining them for just their roles as Death Eaters, I must admit that I like Barty the most, oddly. He was a great follower of the Dark Lord in the books and was willing to do whatever it took to serve his Master. He is very honorable and should be respected by the other Death Eaters.

What about Crabbe and Goyle sr.?
I chose Lucius because his role used to be straightforward. This changes (not telling any more) whereas Snape has always been suspected by the reader as a bloddy traitor.

Yes, yes.... They were not really mentioned in Deathly Hallows but in passing reference without name, I believe. I forgot about their children as well, but they are a part of the unimportant batch, since the only one that advances the plot is one of the younger ones -- Crabbe, Jr., although I do not believe that many people have any of the four as a favorite Death Eater. So, I feel safe about missing them.

Traitors make the world a more interesting place. And is it not evil of Snape to be a traitor, so shouldn't he be respected for that?

Ah, well, coming from the mouth of a Slytherin, I find that very interesting. Of course, that is the nature of such things, and I do find it interesting, although I do not find it conventional when they turn against what I put faith in them for.

It is merely my opinion that Severus was doing worse evil by betraying the Death Eaters in the first place, because who would do that in reality? That is why my respect for Severus is so high.

Ah, I see what you mean, Brianna Powell. I stick to Lucius, though. For some reason, Snape and Draco were always my favourite characters (apart from the trio), so I guess it's like my second nature that I respect him. I cannot pick him, therefore.

Powell is quite alright to call me by. My only respect is for Snape by any means really.

I pick Snape. He was powerful, manipulative, and though a traitor, did his job well. He also had a vindictiveness that I just enjoyed. Look at the postion he reached, even with all the suspcion he carried.

Draco Malfoy because, even though he's a 'two-faced b&$^&%d', he still respected the Dark Lord enough to actually keep going with his mission. Plus it's beacuse of him that Dumbldore died in the first place. (I know Snape killed him but Draco got all the other Death Eaters in Hogwarts to make it possible.) That's why he's my favourite.

And he was the owner of the --SPOILER-- Elder Wand, too.... --/SPOILER-- That must count for something.

Ah, that's a hard choice. It's a shame you can't really pick more than one. It was a tough decision between Narcissa and Lucius, but I had to go for the former. She's just such a delightful character...
