This is where the victims post their deaths, and also where the detective makes his or her guesses.

Death of a Headmistress... I swallowed sharply at the thickening air around me, my heart drumming into my bruising chest. I had run long and hard, and now I could run no more. So, I hid. The morning dew glistened on the edge of my boots as I crouched behind the vast trunk of an ancient oak, my fear scant across the wind. I had to think hard and fast if I wanted to get out of this alive. I needed a better place to hide. My eyes glazed across the silhouette of the stone castle before me, projected against the early sunrise. I was full of trepidation, but it was surely my best bet. So I made my break. I didn't get far. My follower was not far behind, the clanging of gobstones hearlded their position. I knew my mistake the moment I left my hiding place, that it was over. I stopped, turning to my doom, facing my end. I held my head high, a woman of my stature does not flee like a scared rabbit, but admits her fate, and challenges her foe. My hand drove into my robes, whisking out my last defence; my wand. Menace etched the face of my pursuer, the wand which would bring my end held sedately within a powerful grasp. "Did you think to outrun me, dear Headmistress?" came the question, always a question. The sneer in place just completed the picture. "I run from no-one." "You'll run from me," came the reply. It was filled with resentment, I knew not why, but I accepted it. A spilt second, and the first blow. "Expellimarius!" "Proteg-" but by seconds, I was too slow. My wand escaped me, and I was defenceless. Horrified, my eyes darted from my unreachable wand to my foe. But this foe held no hesitation. A smirk glistened on those lips as came my sentence. "Sectumsempra..." The words were merely breath, but the power behind them was inevitably destructive. I lay, a heap of lacerations and deadly wounds, my life blood spilling across the frozen grass. My last image, the portrait of a smirk.

Impossible It couldn't be! This was not supposed to happen? How could I, Head of Gryffindor House, and Lady of Light, possibly be dead? And yet, looking at my pearly, translucent skin, it seems that I am. It was just like any other day. I was flittering around the castle looking for someone to talk to, when I found my killer alone. We normally got along well, and I would never have even thought I could be in danger, so I walked over and started to talk. That was when I noticed something...a little off..... "So which would you choose? Your house, or your side?" Came the casually placed question. I frowned at the odd question, wondering why they would ask me such a thing. "You know, this isn't "this or that" I started to say, when I saw a flash of green speeding towards me. Before I could even scream, the life was dying out of my eyes as the killing curse entered my body, sucking all the life away... It seems my sense of frustration in being killed kept me in this world, for I watched my body fall to the ground, helpless to do anything. My murderer wasted no time to mock me, for they simply ran off down the castle corridor to claim other victims. So here I stand over my dead body, hoping that someone will come revenge my death and bring justice back to this castle once again!

Hmm, Gobstones? Would it be my wonderful head of house, Scream? Seems to fit as I think Scream choose the light over his normal house's loyalties as well.

It was supposed to go between Elle's and Kim's and I had it all written and everything, but then I had to go, and I didn't get it posted in time. Also, I was going to use Sectumsempra in the first place, but then Elle used it, so I modified my death so it wasn't the same as hers. [glow=gold,2,300] Death of her Deputy Headmistress... [/glow] Leaving myself vulnerable and open to an attack was, perhaps, the most fatal mistake of my final moments that night. The suspicious death of Elle -- my partner in crime, known better to the rest as the Professor Woodcroft -- had lead me to believe that I had to escape whilst I could. Once the candles were extinguished, I pulled my cloak around myself and left my office, maintaining my premise of strength and support while still in the castle, making my way to the lake. If I let my mask crumble now, showing my true emotions, the students would become far harder to control, leaving it just to the Heads of House to deal with them. I couldn't let that happen, for the life of me. The grounds were murky and the grass was damp, muffling my footsteps as the lake drew closer and closer, the icy water seeming to beckoning me to it. In the faint light of the night, I saw my own reflection vaguely etched onto the surface of the black expanse of the lake. The water rippled as I mourned for Elle's death, at last, in peace. There was a shuffling sound behind me, and I subtly gripped my wand at my side, hearing the intruder slowly creeping towards me, despite their attempt to be silent. My movement to grip my wand in self assurance and defence, however, had not gone unnoticed. A shadow emerged from the trees and my eyes widened as I caught the determined expression in the face of who I knew to become my murderer. My mind started racing and my heart was pounding in my chest as I assessed my options. My instinct told me that I could not match my murderer in neither force nor in mind, as they would surely know a way out of every situation. Then I considered why I would be their target: I had not known them to be so power hungry as to murder both Headmistresses in such a quick succession. “I won’t beg for survival,” I said coldly. “I should have known to never expect anyone better than you.” Meeting the steely glare projected towards me, I quickly shouted, “ Protego!” The other wasted time smirking at me, as I felt my shield charm take effect. Almost instantaneously I heard the curse uttered in return: “ Sectumsempra!” I stood my ground, believing myself safe behind my shield, although the force of the spell seemed to disregard it, forcing me backwards into the lake. It seemed as if I was being dragged down into the lake, the icy water soaking through my cloak, through my robes, chilling my skin, quickly making me forget to breathe. Before I realized exactly what was happening, an unbearable weight pressed down on top of me; an ancient spell that held me underwater until my last breath was replaced by frosty water. The last thing I saw was the night sky, shinning through the clear, black water of the lake.

:3 looks like you had fun writing that. It's amusing everyone is making it out I'm some cold person which knows every step your going to take. ^.^ Very amusing.

I was trying to be subtle about it... Usually my attempts at subtly are unsuccessful, but this time it appears to have worked... sort of.
If anyone else would like to play again, just put your name down in the thread. Elle and I will start a new round.

Oh, you mourned me, Abbie. -Prongs to your Padfoot-
And I used Sectumsempra for the connection to Snape. As in, he's the Head of Slytherin (Or was), and so was Scream.
