Well, I chose "I just don't see it", because from what I have read on the Harry Potter books none of the characters seem to be homosexual. I have never once read a slash fic that has made me even tolerate the pairing, so I guess I just don't like slash.

I put 'I just don't see it', just because I really don't. I'm not against homosexuals or anything, but in the books I just can't see it; I also can't see it in the characters. To me, it's completely not canon. But, that's just me

harry's obsession with Draco just isnt right in my mind.
lol
but ive been a slasher for about... 3 years now?
Dragon Tamer was what got me started, that has got to be one of the funniest fics ever. even if you dont like slash... give it a read.
ill read it, as long as its harry/draco.. .occassional harry/tom... abandon is the best of that pairing... side pairings can be almost anything... as long as Ron isnt gay...
it's just... ew
if it is done right, anything can work...

I don't think that any of JKs characters could be, but in fanfiction, anything is possible really. Which is what makes slash so interesting and enjoyable. It will never happen, but they can be so cute, hot, smutty, interesting, imaginative, inspiring, funny, angsty, romantic... really they can be anything you want.
I suggest just searching slash, or harry/draco, or what ever pairing you think could be interesting and just reading a one shot. if you want a longer fic to read just as a trial and like homorous fics, I once again suggest Dragon Tamer. That was my first fic, first slash fic, and I have been hooked ever since. It isn't on ff.n anymore, but is on riddikulus.org by Jennavere. Check it out. *nods encouragingly* Even just the first few chapters.

Meh, no matter what I attempt to write, I end up writing slash.... and it's even more fueled by this latest book. Now, I'm not into the fluff -gags- But the very dark, deeper sort of ones, I'll go for. I'm not really one for explicit stuff, anymore.... I just doesn't seem to go with the genre that I'm a fan of, unless it's absolutely perfect.
Moogle likes the subtleness that I use in a few of my chapters. I just don't have it as the main plot device, really. That's what really appeals to me -- it's there in the background, but it's not the plot. Like the relationships in the actual books are sort of in the background: they're there... but it's not the focus of JKR on the characters' love relationships.
By the way, I completely agree with you on Ron, Scream. The surprise pairing fictions that end up with Ron... all that I can think is: "....eh?"

Ah yes, there is the exception. I can handle Raye's slash that she uses in her latest fic. I think it is more because of your talent for writing and nothing graphic which makes me enjoy it though.

It really depends on the pairing. I've read and written slash for other genres, when I actually think that the characters could be attracted to each other, but I've never really gotten that vibe from any of the HP people.

I like it. What I would really have chosen, if it had been an option, was that I like any fiction so long as it's well written. I hate fics where they just go and snog or shag all the time, and I'm not much into angsty/ dramatic stories, either. Apart from that I do not care about the pairing.
For me (being a woman), reading slash is as appealing as it must be for a man to imagine having sex with two women who are bisexual and play with each other, too. I (probably) wouldn't want to have sex with two bisexual men at the same time, but I enjoy reading about it. *smirk*

I enjoy compliments like that everyday. Of course, it seems the only relationships that I can write are GodricXSalazar, SeverusXHarry, TomRiddleXHarry, or TomRiddleXJames. I like SeverusXLily... but I've only written it once... I don't think I finished that sequel, though. Overall, my favorite one is either TMRxHJP or TMRxJP... hard to decide, although I write more of TMRxHJP....

Well then i dont think that you would like Dragon Tamer... or Abandon... they have plots and all... but alot of them are taken up with snogging and shagging... although alot of it has been cut out of it, because of ff.n ot what ever sites they are on now. I still strongly recommend these fics though, they are written well enough that the excess of snogging and stuff is necessary, either to lighten the mood, to be a motive, or prove a point. there is enough story in them to make up for it all. btw, I am sorry about the state of my typing, my computer is running like a dog and it isnt coming up wth what i am typing for a few minutes and the fixing ofwhat i am writing is also taking alot of time and isnt working everytime either. *grumbles*

I know it's not really canon, but I find myself oddly drawn to slash. I do like anything, though, as long as it's well written.

Pshh, who needs canon when there is slash to be had? lol. But I agree, I will read most anything, as long as there is a plot and/or is really well written... but it has to be interesting beyond just the pairings... like in Forest of Mysteries I think it was, wonderful story, almost no relationships other than friendship. But there was a huge plot and great interaction between characters.
