Defence Against the Dark Arts - Lesson One
Welcome to your first lesson of the year!
Now, to begin the year I am going to teach you an old favourite of mine, the Flipendo Knockback Jinx. This jinx, once used in scrolls (because wizards and witches of the time had poor memory) sends a weak, invisible amount of force towards your target that will push it back a few metres.
Invented and first conjured by Ivan G. Christof to keep gnomes and Flobberworms out of his gardens and was introduced into common society for such purposes as duelling, movement of heavy objects that resist levitation and is useful for a good little push.
This jinx is very simple and requires little practice. All you must do it direct your wand tip to face your target you desire to hit and say: "Flipendo".
Please resist practicing this jinx on other students and/or any pets. Rocks and such will do nicely.
The force the Flipendo Knockback Jinx produces is like a quick, powerful gust of wind. I hope that by the end of the week that you can hit a target at least once...
That is all class, I hope you enjoyed this lesson and I hope to see you again.
I have set you homework as seen below, just something small to let me know that you are with me.
Homework: Writing Task:
Summarise this lesson's notes in as many words as you please. I wish that your summarys are sent directly to me. Please do not send me a sentance or a bullet-point list.
