Welcome to Divination. Many may not understand the art of second sight, that they see it as nothing but fortune telling, but this is not true. It is important to study the future, to try to find out what will happen, learn from our actions from the past that infuences the future, and maybe even be able to make a difference. The littliest thing can affect the future, and your goal in this class is to learn how to see said future.
It is not important whether you gain the ability of second sight, merely that you learn how to treat our past and future, to show that our future is not something to destroy with and our past is not something to distance from.
I am Professor Illusion. I'll give you a moment to stop laughing at how formal and airy I may be or how corny my name sounds...Now if your done, let us move on to the course aims.
Course Aims:
~To get a better understanding of the past and future
~To gain a foothold in palm reading, tea leaves, tarot reading, and the crystal ball. There may be more depending on the class progresses.
Simple, no? Next is your items that you will need.
Items Needed:
~A copy of "Unfogging The Future" by Cassandra Vablatsky
~Your wand (However, it will rarely be used)
You should have an easy time in this class if you show signs of second sight. All I ask is this:
Rules
1. Adhere to the Hogwarts rules
2. No talking when I am talking, just raise your hand. You may talk quietly while working.
3. If you disrupt another student's work, then you will be reprimanded. (warnings, point deduction, detention, etc.)
4. Giving false predictions intentionally may result in a detention depending on the severity of it.
5. Your fellow students are to be treated with respect.
6. Do not touch something in the classroom unless I have said its ok or you ask. There are a few artifacts in the class involving Divination, but should not be messed with.
7. Failure to turn in homework may result in punishment such as points and detentions.
8. If I ever see you make that hand motion of what you call "blah blah yada yada" at me ever again, I will deduct points or put you in detention. Don't look at me like that, I know you did it.
I hope that your time here in Divination is pleasurable.
