Q&AI have a question! (that isn't addressed here)Please direct your questions to the [glow=blue,2,300]Inquiries Thread,[/glow] and submit it, as according to the guidelines listed there.I want to join the Newspaper!If you wish to apply please go [glow=blue,2,300]here[/glow] and submit your application.I followed all the rules to sumbit my application, and I didn't get accepted! What the heck?Please understand that Headmistress Elle and I have both agreed for the writing staff to meet higher expectations than to accept everyone. I will only offer the position to someone whose work makes the grade, and is responsible enough to handle it. Being on the staff isn't for everyone. Become more active and improve your writing, and maybe we'll accept you then.May I apply for more than one post?At the time, I would prefer not. If we come to a situation where we would need someone to cover more than one spot, then it will be addressed. For now however, please only apply for one staff position.May I review an edition of the paper?If you're a reader, there will be a thread set up with each edition that allows everyone to comment on what they liked -- and what they think needs fixed. When doing so, please remember the difference between constructive criticism and flames.May I submit suggestions for future articles and/or columns?Yes! I would love it if people would do that! Granted, The Inkwell can't use everyone's suggestions, but if you have an idea, please submit it in [glow=blue,2,300]this[/glow] thread! If you do, remember to use the code provided!Please check this frequently, for I will be adding new questions and answers as much as possible! Thanks, SJ/Bye Bye Birdie (Editor)

Rules and Regulations Now, there aren't many general rules, but there are a few.
One! Be kind and curteous to your fellow readers and/or co-workers. Be respectful of everyone here. Two! Just don't flame, mmkay? Three! Follow the appropriate guidelines in each thread accordingly. Four! Have fun with everything. The Inkwell is for you to enjoy. Five! Pay attention to and mind the rules. Six! If you catch any mistakes I or someone else has made, don't hesitate to tell us so we can correct them!
Thanks, SJ/Bye Bye Birdie (Editor)

All About the Inkwell
[glow=blue,2,300]History[/glow]
The Inkwell was founded in 1782 by Joseph Johnson, (36 at the time) and his wife, Martha Johnson. The two lived in colonial Pennsylvania as Quakers, following the group to America in search of freedom. It originally began as a small-time paper that was delivered only on the Saturday of each week. When he was fifty-four, he passed the torch onto his son, Matthew. By the time it reached the hand of their great-granddaughter, Olivia Gordon, in 1874, it had developed into a bi-weekly paper that was read across the nation. It steadily gained in popularity until, in 1975, it was read by wizarding communities in six countries. Currently, The Inkwell is much like it was when it was founded; family owned, and providing a quality read to all those who seek it. It has survived World Wars I and II, the Industrial Age, the Civil and Revolutionary Wars, The Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, The Cold War, and countless other situations that could have brought The Inkwell to an end.
