Welcome to all of you. You are in the first year of Potions, a class that should never be taken lightly.
I am Brianna V. Powell, and I mastered potions a long while ago.
In this class you shall be required to keep with you:
Your wand
A pewter cauldron
A set of crystal phials
A set of scales
One copy of Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger
As far as potions, we shall start simple and see where we end up. If you are all able to do well enough we shall try a more advanced potion.
Anyone who is caught messing up their potion on purpose for their own amusement or mixing a different potion will have points deducted from their house and a detention awaiting them.
I do not tolerate late homework, and a detention shall await you if you do not turn in your homework on time. After the detention, if your work is not done, there is no making it up.
As far as turning in homework goes, please send it via PM to me with your name, house and assignment in there before your assignment.
Homework shall be graded on a number system. 0 is nothing, and 10 is a perfect score. I shall give homework back every Monday after it is due.
If you are late in joining us, you are expected to do that week's assigmnment. If you join the day it is due (A Friday) Then it shall be due no later than the Monday coming up after it.
