I dont think that Harry is a true horcrux though... he is one of sorts... but not quite one in the fact that Volde didnt split himself deliberately, but also because it wasnt a full split, or at least there wasnt as much in harry as in the others i dont think.... *shrug*
Either way he was still one... kate was right... so many people were right... so many more were wrong. lol.
i dont think anyone truly thought of snape/lily happening in the books.. yeah believing it in fanfiction and all that, but it not really thinking that it would be lily/snape... not like that at least.
and anyway, snape wasnt good. ever. he did everything he did for lily, if she was evil, he would have /more/ things for evil, but as it was, she was good and so he was forced to help the good. he was brought up in a dark family, cant expect much else from him...

I agree with Scream. Snape can't be considered "good", for the simply fact that, while he did play the role of a spy effectively and helped save lives, he didn't care one whit about them, and simply did it so he could remain in Dumbledore's trust, and consequently, could protect Lily's only remaining legacy--Harry.
Furthermore, as for Harry being a Horcrux, I agree with Scream as well. I do not believe Voldemort intended for Harry to become a Horcrux, which is what makes all the difference. From what I gathered in the books from Dumbledore's explanation on Harry's Horcruxal status, it was completely by accident. Voldemort's soul had been so degraded by that point that James and Lily's murder, combined with the AK sent at Harry and rebounded, caused it to become unstable enough to unconsciously split.
Any arguments to the contrary wouldn't make much sense. I mean, how is it logical for Voldemort to go to Godric's Hollow with the intent of making Harry a Horcrux? Voldie went there with the intent to kill Harry, not make him an anchor. In fact, the whole Lily thing wasn't because he respected her or anything, but because Snape asked him not to kill her (probably on the excuse of saving her for himself [Snape]). So, given that, we can only conclude that Harry's Horcruxal status was totally by accident, and that Voldemort had no idea that Harry had a piece of his soul.

I would agree on the Horocrux matter, because that was why I was so against Harry being a horocrux before this book. I couldn't figure out why Voldemort would even want Harry as a horocrux.
I'm happy Percy redeemed himself, but at the price of Fred. That was so sad. I loved Fred.
And Dobby. Ohhh, I was giving death threats to Bellatrix under my breath while I was reading after the funeral. But Molly killed her, that was the best scene ever. I loved the final battle, I always thought it would be at Hogwarts and that in itself is awesome. It was one amazing book.
I should stop rambling.... but all in all, I love that book so much now!

i dont think anyone truly thought of snape/lily happening in the books.. yeah believing it in fanfiction and all that, but it not really thinking that it would be lily/snape... not like that at least. xoox I actually did believe that Snape loved Lily. I've been saying it for several years now. The only reason that Snape would betray Voldemort was to protect the Potters, and since he hated James so much I couldn't see any reason for Snape to want to protect him. Thus I had to assume that he wanted to protect Lily, who was, after all, the only person who stuck up for Snape in that memory we saw in the Pensieve. Also, Snape continued to protect Harry even though he clearly loathed him, so he could only be doing it for the sake of someone else. So... yeah, not to rub anybody's noses in it, but I was at least 95% sure that he loved Lily. ^_^

I enjoyed the epilouge myself. I laughed because James seems so much like his grandfather lol. I agree, Albus Severus was a great name. I loved the part where Harry said Severus was one of the braves men he ever knew. I teared up, just a little. Ok I wont lie, that book made me bawl like a little kid!

oh yeah, and I agree Moogle, there will always always always be room for fanfics. Fanfics are an opportunity for us fans to interrpret things how we want and give us a chance to make the world our own. Sorta gives us free reign. So we can change the story to fit out needs however we like. That's what I love about fanfics!

Totally^^
I think we can all agree that none of us thought that Moldieshorts actually had the intention of making Harry a horcrux. I for one always thought it was accidental, because how else could Harry have a connection like that to him?
As for Lily and Snape, I feel the same way you do Dragon's Lost Child. As soon as I read HBP I just knew that Snape loved Lily, though I had my suspicions in OotP. And about him being bad, someone who is completely bad could never do that stuff, no matter how much they loved someone, but I think Snape was just one of these grumpy guys. He was never truly evil.

yeah, I've never really written or read fanfics for HP before now, but since finishing Deathly Hallows I've been reading them like crazy. ^_^
broken2nite: I know what you mean. From Dobby's funeral on I don't think my eyes were dry for more than fifteen minutes in a row. lol
Moogle: I agree with you too, lol. Snape was never truly evil- he was raised around certain people and certain ideals that made him turn down a dark path, but when he truly realized what he was doing he turned back to the light. I just don't think he completely understood how horrible Voldemort was until he threatened Lily's life.

Aw yah! My poor Snape, I felt sooooo sorry for him!
Snape has always had a special spot in my heart, despite his meanness in occasions. I really loved that chapter.

I know- my whole family's like, "why do you like that guy? If nothing else, he's a total jerk." But I guess I've just got a soft spot 'cause he is so sad and troubled. he needs a hug. lol

Severus? He is, officially, the only character whose death I truly almost cried over. It was a tad unfair, really... all because of a misunderstanding! If only Tom Riddle had found out that Harry was the True Owner, then he'd only have to still go after Harry.... although how else would he have been able to see the memories? -thinks on that one-

I did always think that Snape loved Lilly but no one ever believed me. I also thought that Harry was an accidental horcrux but that's because my friend convinced me about it.
I was sad when Snape died... but when Fred died, I seriously set the book down and cried for about an hour. With the exception of Sirius, the Weasley twins are my favorite characters.
