Does it make me bad if I say I didn't cry at all? Honestly, I've cried in all the books since book four, but DH just didn't make me cry. Hrm, maybe when I read it again I will be able to take it in more emotionally.

In general, mostly because of all the deaths and all the action-packed chapters, I didn't like this and was disappointed. But I love the fact that Snape loved Lily cause I always totally ship them. I was so sad when Bellatrix and Tonks and Lupin and Hedwig and Snape and Fred died. And even sad when Voldie kicked the can as well cause he was one awesome villan.
I was shocked Harry didn't die because I was sure he would so JK could make sure she didn't have to write anymore HP books. I'd personally love to see some about the Marauder days. I hear there may be a HP encyclopedia with back stories and stuff in the works some day, so there's always that!
And I thought the Epilogue was horrendously gay. Nothing more to it than that.
But it did have some superbly awesome chapters. . . And Dobby died. I have a dislike for house elves, that one in particular. . . So I suppose I'm so-so contented with this book.

So I suppose I'm so-so contented with this book Lol, you know I've always felt the same way, and I tried to find it in myself to be sad about Dobby dying, but I wasn't. I was like, "Oh, is that all who dies." *ducks head in shame* I was kind of sad when Fred died, but honestly the only person who really gave me a little bit of sadness was Snape. All the other deaths were too briefly described for me to feel anything for them. And it wasn't really Snape's death, more his memories.

I would have been upset if Kreacher died... but he didn't, so I'm pleased with that. I don't like Dobby, either. I like Regulus.... I'm glad I named my cat after him. -grins-

I got upset that Kreacher had made them steak and kidney pie and treacle tarts and it would have been waiting for them when they got home, only they couldn't come back, and Kreacher would have been upset and thought he had been betrayed again, until he realised what was going on.
That was the saddest part for me. I tried to cry, really I did... It just didn't happen...

Lol, I felt the same Abbie!! I was like, "poor, poor Kreacher"
It was so cool when he led the house elves into battle with cutlery, (though I wonder why they had cutlery when they can use magic)

I know! I just read that paragraph over and over thinking how amazing it was. The little house elves fighting... aww.
Maybe House elf magic doesn't extend to violence?

That would make sense, at least to me it does. I found that amusing. But I share the same thoughts as the Dark Lord in the books and do not have a close affinity for House Elves in generally. Some of the more powerful creatures, however... like Dementors. I love the way that they wield their power against their threats.

Dementors always interested me when I read the books. PoA I was just like "MEAN!"
yah, I am weird like that, lol. I guess I have always like the darker creatures, but you gotta admit that Dobby was annoying, as was Winky. Kreacher was the only house elf I could stomach because he made me laugh.

I liked Kreacher. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with calling people Mudbloods and traitors if that's what they are.
He is brutally honest in the way that Luna has a skill for the unspoken truth, yet the two characters are treated differently for the same trait.

You see my icon for recruitment? I love it! "Hate Mudbloods?" Hermione calls herself a Mudblood, doesn't she? Hmn.
Oddly, I have a facination with the Deathly Hallows themselves, just because I tend to be fascinated by Death itself. Choice Career: Embalmer; Favorite Magic Art: Necromancy; Favorite Magical Creature: Dementors. -smirks- I suppose I am much like the Dark Lord, with the obsession with Death.

I could point out a few critical differences.

I wouldn't call someone a mudblood. Muggleborn is fine for me. (Guess that's why I'm the Lady of Light, lol) But blood traitors is all fine and dandy if that's what people think. It's not as derogatory as mudblood.

Lol That made me laugh.
Don't you like the sound of "Mudblood"?

-chuckles- Anyway, I hoped that Harry would have taken advantage of being the Master of Death, but I was sorely disappointed. -sighs- With the way that he was so intent over the information and just obsessing over all of it made me have high hopes. Oh well, it turned out well anyway, I suppose. Perhaps I should incorporate that into the fanfiction I'm currently writing.
