Okay, I know many of us have already read the book by now, so here is where we can dicuss without people accidenltly lettings things slip and ruining it for others!
I would just like to say that I am feeling so bigheaded right now because every theory I have made came true (excpet Harry/Hermione getting together, but hey I still got a kiss, LOL!)

Lol, well for your own sanity, I am very glad that I did not say anything too open, but I suggest that you not read this thread or even click on it until you have finished, because believe me this is one book that you do not want to have spoiled by finding out what happens.

I LOVED that book so much and I am SO glad that Snape turned out to be working for Dumbledore after all. I've been believing in him since book one, but I have to admit that there were a few seconds in there (like when he chopped of George's ear) when I had a spark of doubt...

And the thing with Lily too. ;D But other than that, I was wrong about almost everyhing else. I was so convinced that Harry wasn't a Horcrux. I remember thinking it was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard... Shame on me. Oh well.

haha, I always thought Harry was a horcrux, just as I always knew Snape was not evil and that he had been prolonging Dumbledore's death, and that Regulus was RAB, and that Snape was in love with Lily.
Woo, it feels good to know you get things right.
I thought the book was really good! I totally loved it, and everything about it was so tense!!
The only thing I can complain about is Draco having a receeding hairline, because he's one sexy guy in my head *sighs* Going bald just totally ruins that for me, lol.

I was right about a lot of the stuff too, but that didn't stop me from being a little surprised when it turned out the way I thought. JK's got this way of making me doubt everything just before proving that I was right in the first place. Oh, and BTW, I LOVE Neville. Chopping off Nagini's head? That was so awesome!

I feel as if I predicted the whole freaking book. EVERY single theory I had came true. I was surprised Harry was a horcrux, I never predicted that lol. All the deaths I knew were coming tho. I'm going to wear black for a week, I swear. I KNEW SEVERUS WAS A GOOD GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well my school uniform is mostly black... and i dont change out of it wen i get home cuz what i wear isnt even uniform... so the black wearing wont be much of a change for me... however i will be doing a moment of silence with everyone once they finished it at school... hahah. anyway! i was so dead set against harry being a horcrux! but i absolutely loved the book, the introduction of the deathly hallows and all the new and old characters becoming so real with actual personalities and the relationships between between people became set, remus and tonks, hermione and ron, harry and ginny, OHHH and bellatrix being killed by mrs weasley.. that just was brilliant... percy showing himself as a good guy and admitting he was a turd, and fred reinforcing this and ohhh that was so good. but then fred! *sniffle* yeah I am rambling, sorry, but there is so much in the book that all linked, no one really thought about the fight between grindleweld (sp?) being all that important, just showing dumbles being strong and good, but then BAM everything is thrown upside down and dumbles wasnt always good and the elder wand and the invinsability cloak being so much more... hey i just though... since harry is an ancestor of the persevelles or what ever they were called (the three wizard brothers who wished for/made the stone, wand and cloak) and volde is too... would that mean harry is an ancestor of slytherin... or did the brothers marry into that blood line meaning harry isnt.. ? *confused* I am going to be reading the book again this weekend i think. oh yes. definitely. Neville's part was excellent... I think this book just shows that he really could have been the chosen one, if only Volde had chosen him, he was brave and strong, cunning and bold,... and after this book... who can really make fanfiction?! *grr*. lets all just ignore the '19 years later' thing shall we? enough of my ramblings... xoxo

haha, fanfiction is always do-able, no matter what!
Neville as definitly awesome, oh and as for the part about the ancestory thing, I woudl say that is a possibilty because all the purebloods are related in some way, so I would say harry is distantly related (though probably closer than a lot of people)

hmmm its creepy.
hahah
ohhhh is any one else slightly, aka extremely, annoyed at the structure of the last bit?
As Harry ooked at her, he lowered his hand absent-mindedly and touched the lightning scar on his forehed. 'i know he will.' the scar had not pained harry for nineteen years. all was well.
i dont know what it was... but i really didnt like that... the structure was wrong, and im sorry to say, that whole section sounded like she had gone on the net, got the ending of a fic, altered it and stuck it in. the style really want up to the normal standards of J.K...
gah.

Hm, I can't say that I didn't like the ending, though I'm hearing a lot of people complaining about it. I guess it was probably hard for her to write the end of such a long and involved series, so maybe it was a little more forced than the rest of her writing, but I didn't really pick up on it if it was.
And we can't forget about the epilogue!! Little Albus Severus is so cute!!! I'm so happy that Harry named him that- I was waiting for Snape to get a little respect.
And I don't really know about Harry being descended from Slytherin. I think that the brothers probably existed a few generations before Slytherin, so, like moogle said, they're definitely related (as most old wizarding families are) but very indirectly, whereas Voldemort is a direct descendant.

Well I loved the ending. I don't know why people are being so nit-picky about it. I don't think any of us could have done better.
Scream, I can honestly say that I was not bothered by that part. It fits well with what she was trying to do with the epilogue, and it stills gives an opening on whether she wants to continue the books.
